Monmouth County
Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services
Monmouth County's Office on Aging was established by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners in 1975 and utilizes federal, state, and county funds to develop programs and partnerships to deliver essential services to the seniors of Monmouth County.
The Office on Aging is the primary planning, coordinating and funding agency for senior programs and services, promoting the well-being, health and independence of Monmouth County’s older adults. The Office targets especially those vulnerable and in greatest social and economic need.
As the lead agency for the Monmouth County’s Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), the Division helps older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities over the age of 18, access the complex, long-term care, community-based, health and human services.
Candace Sparks from Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Community Through Services) spoke about their role as it relates to the needs of Early Childhood Success, Positive Youth Development, Successful Aging, Homelessness, Transportation, Financial Empowerment, Behavioral Health & Communications.
