PART-TIME/FULL-TIME CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER needed for the Borough of Allentown in Monmouth County to start in December 2025. Current CFO is retiring effective December 31, 2025. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field with five years of experience. Must hold Certified Municipal Finance Officer and Qualified Purchasing Agent certifications. Allentown has an annual budget of $3M and operates sewer and water utilities. Responsibilities include: annual budget preparation, audit coordination and compliance, bank reconciliations, grant management, capital management, cash management, debt management, financial reporting, pension and payroll, general ledger, purchasing, and more. Experience with Edmunds and ADP payroll preferred. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills who can work in a small team environment and wear a lot of hats. FULL-TIME LABORER- ALLENTOWN BOROUGH. We are hiring an employee to perform manual labor tasks for our Public Works Department. Responsibilities include: loading, lifting and moving materials; digging trenches; manual grading; lawn and park maintenance; shoveling; plowing snow; performing cold patching; raking leaves; using leaf vacuum equipment; digging out stumps; and other duties as assigned. Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License and pass pre-employment background check. CDL preferred, but not required. $36,000 annually with medical, prescription and paid time benefits. ALLENTOWN BOROUGH- CROSSING GUARD. This position that also be utilized during community events. Regular hours of operation are: Monday through Friday, 6:45AM to 9:00AM and 1:45PM-4:00PM. Special events are scheduled as needed, but generally include: the Spring Stroll, Fall Festival, Halloween, and the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. Applicants must be in good physical condition with good eyesight. No experience is necessary. All successful applicants will be trained upon hiring by police personnel.
