FULL-TIME LABORER- ALLENTOWN BOROUGH. We are hiring an employee to perform manual labor tasks for our Public Works Department. Responsibilities include: loading, lifting and moving materials; digging trenches; manual grading; lawn and park maintenance; shoveling; plowing snow; performing cold patching; raking leaves; using leaf vacuum equipment; digging out stumps; and other duties as assigned. Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License and pass pre-employment background check. CDL preferred, but not required. $36,000 annually with medical, prescription and paid time benefits. The Borough is hiring a part-time fill-in Crossing Guard. This is a fill-in position that may also be utilized during community events. Regular hours of operation at Monday through Friday from 6:45Am to 9:00AM and 1:45PM-4:00PM. Special events are scheduled as needed, but generally include: the Spring Stroll, Fall Festival, Halloween, and the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. No experience is necessary. All successful applicants will be trained upon hiring. A background check is required prior to being hired.
