Pet licensing needs to be renewed by March 31st.

Animal licensing letters will go out this week. 

All 2025 dog and cat licenses will expire on March 31, 2026.

Dogs and cats over 7 months of age are required to be licensed.

Rabies vaccinations must be current through January 31, 2027 in order to obtain a 2026 license. If there are any changes to your pet’s information, updated rabies certification must be provided. Certification of spay/neuter is also required, if applicable.

2026 License Fees:
Neutered/Spayed Dogs: $14.00
Non-Neutered/Spayed Dogs: $17.00
Neutered/Spayed Cats: $8.00
Non-Neutered/Spayed Cats: $9.00

All checks should be made payable to Borough of Allentown.

Important Deadlines:
• Applications received on or after May 1, 2026 will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.
• Summons will be issued to owners of unlicensed pets beginning June 15, 2026.

You may also renew in person Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
