Pioneer General Contracting to continue sidewalk improvement project on South Main Street the week of October 14th.

Due to effective grant management there is unspent grant funding available to install some sidewalks on South Main Street. Pioneer General Contracting Company will be installing sidewalks on South Main Street starting the week of October 14th (new date). The work should be completed before Thanksgving. Letters have gone out to homes that will be affected.

These sidewalks will be in the Borough's right-of-way, but the contractor will need to access private properties to regrade a portion of the front yard so that it will tie into the new sidewalk and meet accessibility guidelines. Homes that are affected will have lawn areas regraded. New topsoil will be added. The area will be seeded and fertilized. There may be traffic delays while the work is being completed. Please give yourself more travel time while in the area of construction.
