Council President DeKranes and Councilwoman Darling spoke on behalf of the Borough at the State House.

Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblywoman Carol Murphy, and leaders of the Senate Majority Office are working to get $8,000,000 in funding for the Stein/AAESUF preservation on the Governor's desk by the end of the year.

Unfortunately, the State budget line item for funding for the preservation of the Stein/AAESUF property did not make the cut in this budget package. But after finding out the news,  Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblywoman, Carol Murphy, the leaders in the Senate Majority Office, and others all expressed there is a willingness to introduce legislation early this fall to provide Monmouth County with funds to preserve the Stein Property. Their offices' and Allentown elected officials will meet over the summer to discuss what legislation the exact legislation would look like and our goal is to get something on the Governor's desk before the end of this year!
