Project Lifesaver: Bringing Loved Ones Home Safely is a new program by the Monmouth County Commissioners.

Project Lifesaver is a life-saving program designed to help quickly locate individuals who are at risk of wandering due to Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, or other cognitive conditions. Through a partnership between the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office and the Monmouth County Division on Aging, Disabilities & Veterans Services, this program provides peace of mind for families and caregivers.

Participants wear a lightweight bracelet equipped with a personalized radio frequency transmitter. If a participant goes missing, specially trained Sheriff's officers use the signal to rapidly locate and safely recover the individual, significantly reducing search times and improving outcomes.

Project Lifesaver not only helps protect vulnerable residents but also provides reassurance to caregivers who face the daily challenges of caring for loved ones with memory loss or cognitive impairments.
