Sign up today for the Environmental Commission's Rain Barrel Workshop.

The Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, April 25th is at capacity.

The Allentown Environmental Commission, in partnership with the AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassadors Program, will host a Rain Barrel Workshop during this year’s Annual Spring Stroll.

The workshop will take place on April 25, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Municipal Annex Building, 14 Church Street, Allentown, NJ.

For $25 per household, participants will build their own rain barrel while learning how rain barrels help protect our local watershed and conserve water. The workshop will cover construction, installation, and maintenance so residents can confidently use their rain barrels at home.

The presentation will be led by Felicity Cruz, AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador (WMA 20).

Rain barrels are a simple way to collect rainwater from your roof and reuse it for gardening and landscaping. By capturing stormwater runoff, they help reduce pollution entering local waterways while providing a sustainable water source for your yard.

Space may be limited. Residents interested in participating can register by emailing environmental@allentownboronj.com.
