The Heritage Park Improvement Project took place in late March-early April in 2020.The trees were purchased from the Chesterfield Gardens Nursery. Thirteen trees were added, including: three October Glory Maples, three Kwanzan Cherry Trees, a Willow Oak, a Yellowwood, three Nyssas, a White Oak, and a Katsura. The Shade Tree Commission helped decide where the trees would be planted in the park. The Public Works Department and Council President Strovinsky helped with the installation.
